Vacationing on Koh Samui, of course, just enjoy the beach tourism, of all the beaches there I have ever visited, there are 3 beaches that I think are the most beautiful and should be visited when vacationing there. Because there is no public transportation on Koh Samui, I access all of these beaches with rented motorbikes with the help of google maps, don’t worry about getting lost because google maps are very accurate and riding a motorcycle on Koh Samui is very easy.
Here are the 3 most beautiful beaches in Koh Samui in my opinion:
1. Crystal Bay Beach
Of all the beaches on Koh Samui, this beach has the clearest and cleanest water, the water is calm suitable for those who want to swim with children and snorkeling.
This beach is more private and quiet, to better be able to enjoy this beach, can stay at the Novotel hotel, Family Hotel Samui, choose a room with a balcony that directly faces the beach.
On this beach, there is a Thai massage which, although the price is more expensive, his hand massage is much more stable than a Thai massage that I have tried elsewhere, is highly recommended!
2. Chaweng Beach
Chaweng area is the busiest area on Koh Samui, there are many hotels, hostels, and resorts in this area, all can be chosen according to the traveling budget, if you choose the right hotel/resort on the beach, of course, the price is more expensive, but take it easy, even if you don’t stay at hotels/resorts by the beach, this beach can still be accessed easily and for free.
Some beachside hotels provide their stools for rent, for 150 baht/bench (free for hotel guests). But if you don’t want to pay for the bench, you can sit on the sandy beach cloth.
The water is very calm, safe enough for children or just relaxing while tanning on a tire/float. Because staying in the Chaweng area, almost every day I stop by this beach.
3. Thong Krut
Not many people know the whereabouts of this beach, its location is remote without signs making it difficult for tourists to come here. The distance is quite far, I ride a motorcycle about 40 minutes from Chaweng to reach this beach.
We are free to explore this beach because there are no tourists here. When I came here, there was only me and my friend, it felt like “private beach”
During the week traveling to Koh Samui, I always hunt sunset every day, and this is the best sunset I have ever seen while on Koh Samui.
